Default ML320 Remote start key

I am very new to this blog and very new to ML320. I recently bought a used ML320 model 2002 from a relative. I changed the batteries for remote key entry/start. The car doesn't seem respond any more for remote. I followed the instructions (insert key, two clicks, press door close button, ten times turn on/off window lock, etc). Still remote entry is not working.

Appreciate any assistance.

Thanks.

Default ML320 Remote Start Key

Hi Coolishlobster,

Thanks for the info.

Are you referring to the Lock/Unlock key on the remote or the ones in ML320?

My 2002 ML320 battery is down and nt taking any charge. I tried removing the battery, but unable to remove it. I took the cables off, took the nut at the bottom of the battery. Moved the plastic holder away. Yet the battery doesn't budge. Can someone list me proper ways to remove battery?

Thanks

your doing it right so far but you will have to tilt up the positive terminal side and bring it out at a angle ......remove the rubber seal around top (two sides to battery) and remove the bolt you also have to lift out end plate battery surround and pin this back while pulling out battery (another helper at this point is best)....make sure you disconnect leads first because when you pull up this surround some of it is metal and will act as earth still and could touch positive lead if battery still connected,so disconnect leads and pin them back out of way to be safe!

oh yes the battery is heavy so them flip up handles come in handy when having to tilt battery.

hope this helps.
