On occasion turn the key and there is nothing...no cranking, no dimming of the lights, no response whatsoever. After a wait it will crank normally again and start. No particular time before it will start, variable.

Could be a battery ground but unlikely as it cranks great when it does start. Think it may be an issue with a start relay or steering column contacts.

Does this issue sound familiar with this model?

I recently had a problem simular with my 07 CDI ; It has two fuel pumps one went out then the other it wouldn't start. It was still under warranty.
