The alternator was recently rebuilt and all running fine, drove cut it off and then it will not crank. Battery is good, lights, radio all work. Won't crank, won't turn over? Any idea what's wrong? Also the interior got wet from rain, front passenger side.

First I went to the mechanic and replace power steering reservoir seal, after nine months fluid started dripping again, this time he said that I need replace steering rack which is a major expense. I was shocked, that this SUV is only 4 years old and part like this need to be replce already.
Did anyone have similiar experience?
