Nahh.. those 5-liters cans, that I utilize don't fit into ANY cup holder.
We don't use cup holders often, so when one is left open and we leave the car, it is easy to kick it with the knee. Finally I learned how to put all those gears and spring back myself, so it is not a biggie.
Question is did MB made them so easy to pop-off because of cheap design, or did they do it on purpose to save ma kneecaps?

I have a love hate relationship with our ML320. I have had two now, '98 @ '01, and have had the same problems with both. Window swithches, crank shaft sensors, door locks that lock and unlock on their own, sqeeky rear shocks, breaks that wear out fast, ignition broblems where I had to have new keys made. The '98 left my wife stranded three times for the crankshaft sensor and try driving on the highway in the middle of winter with your window open for an hour and a half.
On the other hand, the reason I got the second one is I flipped the first one over two times on a really icy day with my wife and grand daughter in the car and we all walked away with no injuries.
You make the call.

Roll-over? Glad to hear you guys walk it.
What was the issue with door lock? I know, that some slow people complain about automatic re-locking feature, that locks back the car if it is unlocked by remote and nobody opens the door for about a minute.
I never talk on the side of the car, so it was never a problem for me. Than some ML owner complain about CC level being to close to turn signals. MB does this design for about 40 years!
Lately I've seen someone posted on the other forum about Chevy pickup. He left the passenger seat to help the driver open the gate. The pickup locked the door behind him, with the engine running. It was design this way.

Here's the deal -- the ML320 is mechanically solid. However, the electrical can be somewhat mediocre.

We've had our ML320 for 2.5yrs now, and the only issue of consequence is the power window switch failure (common for this model/yr).

You can buy a 99 (70k mi) in AZ for around 16k (dealer).

Good Luck!

Man, this is a tough decision. Well, she still really the Mercedes ML. We drove the Lexus RX300 but that drives kinda 'floaty'; not so excited about that. Maybe we'll just have to take our chances...
