Default Instrument Cluster

I am new to the site and have learned a lot! I have a 2001 ML320. I just took a trip and before my return, I had the oil changed, tires, and all that good stuff done, but not throught a MB dealership. My FSS indicator came on. I went to reset it but somehow I messed it up and is now blinking and won't stop blinking. This has been going on for about 24 hours now. Last night I went to dinner with my wife and upon our return, it was dark, I turned the lights on and the illumination in the instrument cluster does not work. I am not sure if this is related to my first problem but what a coinsidence. Any suggestions????? thanks.

Well, i noticed this am that they are not out completley. But they are very, very dim. When it's really dark outside I can see them fine. They are the lights on the speedometer, the temp controls and the window controls also. Although, I did notice that the buttons for the rear windows, the ones on the back of the console, are illuminated just fine. I checked all the fuses and that helped reset the FSS Indicator but didn't help with the lights. Thanks for your help!
