I'm seriously considering buying a 2006 ml350, but it doesn't have NAV which I would really like. My question is could I add Nav my self or would I have to pay the dealer $2500 to do it for me? I have quite a bit of technical skill in the area of car electronics, what parts would I need to do this? and also is it possible to make a factory nav system play dvd's?

If you have NAV screen, then you only need NAV drive. No, it will not play DVDs.
