My 2000 ML430 has an issue... don't they all, but this one prevents me from driving, and I can't have that go on forever.

I used my ML to jump start another car and it appears I have sucked the life out of my ML. My ML won't start, won't shift out of park, won't accept a jump, won't do nothing. [:@] It's pretty much is a really big paper weight on wheels. It shows signs some signs of life in that it has power (lights come on, etc), but it will not start... I tried undoing the battery to reset the computer, but that didn't resolve anything. Any ideas?? Please help, I do not want to take this to the dealer... that's an arm and a leg I'm not prepared to sacrafice at this time.
