I went to Jiffy Lube last week to have the oil changed and they won't service my car because of a coffee-colored milky substance underneath the cap. The guy tells me he believes there's something getting into the oil, whether it's water or anti-freeze. Meanwhile, the engine was completely dry. Also, the oil is its normal color and there are no leaks. I called Mercedes of Freehold today and a service advisor tells me he thinks it could be a blown head gasket. I would appreciate any opinions/advice on this!!

 

If you're not losing any coolant, and the milky substance is only seen under the cap and not on the dipstick, then it might simply be condensation, usually formed due to short journeys which does not allow the engine to reach its full working temperature. Give the car some good long runs where the engine gets up to full temp (around 80 or 90 degrees)......if it cannot reach full temp after a long run (another reason to cause condensation/sludge in the cap) then check out the thermostat which may need replacing.
