I have A 2000 mercedes ml320 that started to sound as if it had A exhaust leak, upon inpection I found that the exhaust intake down pipe to be leaking and had cracked around the seam, I assumed where it cracked was the catalytic area of the down pipe.
my question is how do I remove this exhaust down pipe on the driver side, because this long rod connecting to the lower control arm is in the way, I removed the this exhaust down pipe which connects to the muffler on the passenger side with no problem, but removing this from the driver side where this long connect rod going to the lower control arm look like A problem,
If anyone has A suggestions please post them, thanks. Ozzinc"

I think MB says that the section should come out through the inner wing after removing the spring and wing inner liner. Or do it the way my mechanic did by cutting the section to allow removal then fitting a sleeve arrangement to connect it back together.
