if u do buy just the sensor then u need to find a tamperproof torx bit to remove it. for some people those arent just laying around.
replacing a fixed sensor may work but it is still risky.

All right guys, I just bought the part for $169.99 including shipping and handling. Here's the picture:


I hope replacing the part is going to be an easy and fast job. Once I've done it, I'll go to Auto Zone and ask them to clear the code.

Help!

I replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor and went to Auto Zone to clear the codes. The scanner now reads three errors:

P0170 Bank 1 Fuel Trim Malfunction
P0173 Bank 2 Fule Trim Malfunction
P0700 Transcontrol System Malfunction

I cleared the codes, but after a few miles the Check Engine Lights wen on again!

Any idea?
