i have a friend who has a 2003 ml350 , her mechanic tells her that the
audio amplifier is gone,,,croaked,..
i have not looked at the vehicle but from her description it makes sense.
can anyone tell me where the darn thing is located.
and if by some miracle happens to know the part number of better description..
any help would be appriciated...the dealer quotes almost 1200 large..

ive seen very few of them go bad. and i believe its under the driver side dash up under the panel, whats the issue with it. sometimes just unplugging it and plugging it back in things are ok. also usually there is a fiber optic problem with no signal coming out of one of the components. alot of times the cd changer is a problem. try pulling fuses for the sound system or radio and see if that helps.

i have not examined it myself, she took it to the local mb dealer and the
mechanic checked and advised it was bad...no sound from any of the components.
ill take a look myself ..
