After accident - need to replace front bumper cover
Some kind person backed into my ML500 today (bless them!)
Their vehicle had a hitch on it and it`s cracked my front bumper cover pretty good.
If I bought a replacement bumper cover rather than having my dealership do it - can anyone suggest:
1) where i`d get one (I live in Canada)
2) Do replacement bumpers come painted or do I need to get that done here?
Failling that, what`s the cheapest way of getting it done - is it worth searching through scrapyards?
Thanks in advance!

ORIGINAL: sleepwalker
bumper cover means... the spoiler, air inlet grille or the license plate frame?

And depending upon how bad it's messed up, he may need the lower spoiler portion, and the license plate frame.

RE: After accident - need to replace front bumper cover
Thanks team.
The bumper cover is a pretty big piece of exterior that is under the front grille. It sits under the hood and has the fog lights and another air grille mounted into it. On the top of it there are openings for the washer jets for the front headlights. It goes under the front of the car and is as wide as the car.
Hope that helps identify it.
Know where I'd get one?

There is a place located in the San Francisco Bay Area that sells "body parts only" and they may be able to hook you up.
They supply to the body shops throughout the bay area, and I've found them to be very reasonable on most items.
I'm not sure if they ship parts though. I can find out tomorrow and post it for you, but it will be pretty late tomorrow.
If you would like to call them yourself, the place is called Leged Automotive Industries and they are located in Hayward California. Their phone number is (510) 293-0881 -- but of course you need to add the international dialing info (country code etc.) as well. Go here http://www.businesspath.com/class.html then go down to where it reads "Calling Codes for Countries" and plug your info in and it will tell you what you need to dial (pretty handy for other countries you may need to dial as well).
Other than that -- These guys sell used parts and they are pretty good as well. --> http://www.stocktonauto.com/
Hope this info helps.
