will not crank after accident

Default will not crank after accident

my 02 e430 got rear ended. now car will not crank. was told by somebody that mercedes have a fuse near battery that will blow when there is an accident. any help will be appreciated. thanx.

they are talking about the BMW 6 series.

check the battery connector.

one member found out that they have painted the battery terminals as well.

I don't know specifically about yours, but many manufacturers turn the fuel pump off when the car gets bumped. It does this so gas isn't fed into a fire, if there is one. It's a switch that has to be manually turned back on. You may want to check into this. Info may be in your owner's manual.

i'm pretty sure its not a fuel problem. because the car will not crank at all. seems like not enough voltage going to the starter.
