Unhappy 2003 ML 350 Power Steering Leak

Have a 2003 ML 350 with a chronic power steering leak. I have replaced the O-Ring in the back of the Reservoir but I still have a leak some where. I am sure it is from the pump as i need to periodically need to add fluid. Is this common, Is it really the pump? is there a rebuild kit or do I just need to replace the pump?

Default power steering

I have a 350 ml...
I took my ml for to authorized dealership for power steering leak.
They replaced the power steering reservoir, ha, it was still leaking afterwards.
I had to drive out of state the next day, so I wasn't able to return to
have them look at it.
I bought lots of power steering fluid and continued to fill reservoir.
During trip I called the dealership, and they said to bring it in, it maybe
something else. Oh bruddha .... Of course on my dime.

I've always kept my car maintained with all scheduled services & all repairs at authorized MB dealerships.

I like my car...but it is expensive to properly keep up.

As far as the power steering leak...I continue to fill reservoir with fluid as needed...which is often.
Other than power steering I haven't had problems with car.

Let me know what you have done about your situation with the power steering.

Thanks for any info.

they commonly leak at the oring at the back of the reservoir, the reservoirs do actaully leak to sometimes from the seams. also ive seen the pumps leak from the front bearing behind the pulley. also the hose to the radiator could be leaking at the radiator side. sometimes the hose gets swollen and sometimes the clamp is not tight enough.

Default Rear Bolt Help — Power Steering Unit

Hi, I have a 2010 ML 350 4Matic with 184,000 miles, and I’m needing to replace the complete power steering unit. I got through most of the job, up until the last bolt on the rear of the unit—any recommendations on the best way to access/remove this bolt?

Best, David
