Default 2001 ML 320 A service

My dealer just sent a card stating the A service fss is due on my car, does anyone know what this entailes? I had to negotiate the B service when I bought the car and was told that was the big one. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Hello the"A" service includes an oil change of synthetic oil 8 quarts at about 7 or 8 dollars a quart at the dealer, plus the oil filter, they should run an star diagnostic test that is supposed to be included with "A" or "B" services. This is to make sure there are no codes or failures in the system. Im not sure on the ML but some cars will get a cabin dust filter on the A, but all models get them at the B service. The dealer should print out a service sheet for your cars specific year and model when they perform the service. they will check over your car. wiper blades are not included with the A but they are included with the B service if your car is 2003 or older. you will not get an engine filter this is extra. they will lubricate the nessesary items in the car, doors, hood latches, sunroof rails, throttle cableif applicable.
