Default 2000 ML320 stalls while driving

My car suddenly stalls while driving. I tred starting it back it cranks but did not start. I had to wait for a while (about 5 to 10 minutes) and it started up. It happened several times last week. There's no check engine light. Car did not missfire or did anything unusal, the engine just stopped. What caused the car to stall? Since it didn't throw CEL I can't scan for code. Could it be CPS or MAF sensor?
Thanks

Where the trans and the engine mount together on the back of the engine driver side. Remove the top engine cover to get to it. The best way to see it is to actually climb on the engine..careful not to crack or step on any vacuum hoses. And look back there and youll see a wire going to the crank sensor...a small torx bit is what you need to remove it. I THINK ITS AN E8 TORX BIT , Pull off the connector and then remove the screw holding in the crank sensor.

the dealer will have it on their computer. they need to run a VMI on your car and the engine will come up. if you can pull off the plug thats what you need to know,, 1 clip or 2 clips to relaese it and are the release clips on the short side or the long side of the connector. if you unplug it then youll know also.

Your engine should have the new style sensor with one locking tab, check the plug.
NEW sensor with single top tab: Bosch # 0 261 210 171 Mercedes # A 003 153 27 28
OLD sensor with dual side tab: Bosch # 0 261 210 141 Mercedes # A 003 153 96 28
99% this is your problem. Easy job, plug nad play type repair.
Check the posts before on engine stalling or not starting!
