Hi, quick query....where is the check engine light supposed to be in the instrument cluster on a 1999 pre-facelift W163? Mine doesn't seem to show when car is first started, or when i turn the key to position 2. I'm going to get the codes read in the morning.

If someone could help me out with this for now, I'd be grateful. Especially if you have a picture of your own instrument cluster within a second of turning your key to position 2. I've searched on google images with no luck.

I even found a post in this forum illustrating all the warning lights, but not showing they're order/location within the the instrument cluster. I don't seem to have either the seat belt light, or the check engine light.

Update: Diagnostic done today and there are no fault codes...will replace the bulb for the check engine light soon as i figure out which one it is, since i've never opened one of these clusters before, so don't want to start pulling it apart without knowing what im getting into. Im sure I can find a how to on this, but if anyone has a picture to indicate which location/bulb is for check engine light, I'd be greatful.
