recently purchased a 08 ml350 wihout a nav dvd do i need to get the latest map dvd as i heard that if i put in a older version it could mess up the comand center pls advise thanks

 

Not sure about an 08, but 09 still had the 2009 map version loaded. I bought a 2012-2 set of DVDs used off eBay for about half of what the dealed wanted for the 2013 set that I would have to order. The maps I bought specificaly listed M class 2009-2011 with Command. 09 has the hard drive where you load the maps, not leave a disk in.

Check eBay, I;m guessing there are loads of used sets that will work on your truck. The seller I got mine from emailed me to verify I had ordered the right set.
