Does any one know what is involed in replacing the birdseye maple trim on the front doors of a GL450. I have one that is damaged and wonder if it just prys off and snaps back on?

whole door panel must come off, then there are stupid clips to hold the wood trim on. usually taking them off destroys the clips....becareful removing the door panel. there is delicate flat wire used in the door wiring harness.
