Any G500 owners should look to see this....My rear driver sidemarker light blew out, went to dealer to get replacement bulb from Slovakia....Went home, took apart my light and was amazed.....The water-tight seal around the light housing is a rubber VW/Audi logoed glove....I've seen vendors use same parts on different makes, but never seen manufacturers swap parts....I can only assume this is the same light assembly from the VW thing since the lights have been the same on the G class since the 70's. Anyone else relate to this?

I've heard Bimmer and Benz! Never VW/Audi.
