I recently totalled out my v10 tdi Touareg and am wanting an OM648 e320 cdi or a gl320 cdi.
I absolutely loved my v10, but it came with its handful of issues.
I also love my 1977 300d with all her issues and she fires up on demand and goes past 75 mph in proper conditions lol.

I have done research on the e320 cdi and would love an OM648. But... I have 4 kids and live in the mountains of Colorado and travel for work to Wyoming. So the efficiency, seating, and 4 wheel drive of the GL320 would suit me better.
I would like to know what to expect, or what questions to ask when buying, or if the v6 or v8 gasser is better. But would love the towing of diesel. Plus, I have my 300d and am a fan of Mercedes diesel.

I would also consider ML if it has a third row for the babies. Also, does the ml have air suspension? Is the air auspension in the GL worth the headache? Or is it relatively dependable?
