hi everyone, just got an G280 1982 in the garage, body & chasis are ok, but the engine looks terible. seem it jus got a heart attack. I plan to swap the engine with a diesel engine, but in my country, find a non-japanese engine could be a nightmare, does anyone have any idea what engine should i put in my G, fyi, toyota engine is very popular in my country but i never heard them to put in a G.

why don't you put in an original pak? BTW have you any ideas where I can get parts from JKT? I need plenty to restore my 230G.

i have suggestion for youi always wana do that
you can USE the motor 1kzte engine 3.0 4 cylinder diesel found in toyota hilux or toyota surf in 1993 to 1995, or you can latest model 1kdftv engine 3.0 4 cylinder dual DOHC found in prado landcrusier, hilux pickup. you need the motor and transmission both but u dont need the toyota 4x4 engage transfercase use the G transfercase, plus you need all the wiring harnes of toyota and engine management system, computer controls etc,,,, ok
