Default Bull Bar installation GL 320. Who knows?

Dear Friends,

i bought the original bull bar for Mercedes GL320 from USA.
It came without an instalation Manual.
This bull bar was for my friends GL and we can't install it. Cause as the guys from the service said we need to drill holes in the grille guard and the engine chromed protection.
As the car is new we ask if there is a possibility to install the bull bar without drilling and scratching the car paint and chrome.
My main idea is that its impossible that Mercedes has so poor engineers that designed a grille guard that doesn't really match the car.
Who knows something about the installing of the Mercedes GL 320grille guard(American version car (if it's different)), please tell me.

i just installed one on a ML 350 and there was no drilling on that, you do have to cut holes in the "mesh black part" and at the bottom of the bumper to. but no drilling into metal at all as far as the ML goes. never installed one on a GL but i can find out for you. you do have to remove the whole bumper cover to install brackets that come with kit. bumper cover comes off very easily too.not to difficult if your a handy man.

Thank you for your answer!

I ask myself if there is any possibility to install the bull bar without cuting anything.
My friend tells me that i brought him a non original chinese bull bar if it doesent perfectly match the car. though i bought it for 900 USD in USA and payed 150 USD for the shipping to Republic of Moldova.
I think, mabe there are other "mesh black parts" with holes for the brackets of the bull bar.
Also the bull bar deosents fit under the car, cause you need to cut the engine protection under the car that is chromed.

Chassis221 , please if you have any new information about the installation of these grille guard or if there are "mesh black parts" with already made holes, please tell me, it would beof a great help.
