Hi all,
I am not a mercedes owner or enthusiast BUT, I do know they have great products and reputations.
I am building a 20' mahogany runabout boat, and would very much like to have a good performing powerplant that is 1)light 2)efficient 3)somewhat powerful, and 4)under 10000$.
I recently read up on the new Bluetec 3.0L V6 diesels in the Jeeps / Mercedes E320 and GL320 and am very impressed. I would like to know if there are any Mercedes salvage yards in North America (preferably around Toronto Canada) that may have some write-off 320s.
Also, I just read that the earlier I6 diesels were very good motors, cast iron, less emissions devices. What is the name of this motor? How much power / torque does it produce? Where can I find one?
Answers to these quesions are MUCH apreciated!
