Default Wheels on a W124 Coupe, Help Please

I want to put larger wheels and tyres on my 1993 124 coupe, its a 220 if that makes any difference, and i was wondering what is the maximum size i can get under the arches without rubbing etc etc, and i also dont want the ride height to change too much, any help much appreciated as this is my first Mercedes and im not that knowleadgable yet.

Default RE: Wheels on a W124 Coupe, Help Please

i have a 124 coupe (300ce 1991) and am running 17" wheels with 245/45/17 tires. it is about the biggest you can run on this car. when you go over big dips in the road or break really hard there is some rubbing. if you want absolutely no rubbing i would try 235/45/17. i have had pretty good luck with my setup though.
