1992 190E, 2.6L



Hello all...........I was driving my 92 yesterday when I noticed there was a weird noise coming from behind the passengers right hand side air vent, the best way to describe it....it sounds like a cassette tape rewinding?????


So when I got home, I popped out the speaker grill from the top of the dash and popped out the vent and found a little fan with a hose attached to it.....when the car is on, the fan is running????

what is that?

 

that's your aspirator motor...it works with your climate control system.

 

HHHHMMMMM, well since my A/C & heater do not work....is it safe to unplug it?
