wax and car wash

Mine's black. I use Meguiar's gold body wash. http://meguiars.com/?car-washes/Gold...oo-Conditioner
The wax seems to last longer for me. I ONLY use a wool mitt and I wear it so the cuff does not scratch the paint. I wash from top to bottom rinsing the mitt in the soap thoroughly after each section. I use a different mitt on the wheels to avoid contamination and I do the wheels after the body is finished.
I always rinse my car well first and keep it wet while working to avoid dry scratches caused by the mitt on dry surfaces. (that was a mouth full).
Meguiar's sells these "gold class" waffle drying towels which really soak up water and don't scratch. http://meguiars.com/?car-drying-tool...t-Drying-Towel

I use pink carnuba for wax. It is very old school. But, NOTHING looks better on black paint, in my humble opinion.
