I'VE BEEN READING ON EBAY ALOT ABOUT SOME HUGE WIRING ISSUE THAT MERCEDES HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN ON ALL THE 2003-2006 MERCEDES E-CLASSES..
DONT KNOW WHETHER THIS IS TRUE OR NOT.. AND SOME MORE ISSUES ON THE STARMARK MERCEDES ..

Run from ebay cars
find a good 00 or 01 facelift E320 with low miles for 10-11 grand and get it inspected,inspected,inspected and then enjoy it for years to come,great cars those w210's

THAT BAD..THANX FOR THE INFO.. I DONT THINK I WILL PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE.. I HEAR ALOT OF BAD PROBLEMS WITH THESE MERCEDES VEHICLES.. YOU WOULD THINK MERCEDES WOULD TRY HARDER TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR REPUTATION ON THESE ISSUES.

 

You would love an 99-02 model,inspected low miles like under 100k or if you had the money the 08's are getting back to the quality of old.They are learning finally

Follow what ohlord says ... 2003-06 E Klass ... no, no, no, no. 1999-2002 W210s are bullet proof an a pleasure to drive and ti look, if you want a newer car then go to Lexus, yes I know, it´s like driving a fridge, but they will keep your pocket quiet.

Today a newer black CLK-430 pulled up next to me. We live on a barrier island here on the West coast of Florida and the bridge was up. The CLK owner hollered over " what a beautiful car, what year?" I said 1998. He responded " I only hope mine ages so gracefully! LOL"." What a beautiful machine."
Yes, a couple of bumps here and there, but nothing for such a manigficent ride. -J

 

W210 great cars our 1999 E320 wagon,purchased for 9grand last year .Not a bit of trouble,flawless,goes like the wind,seven seats,27mpg hway.Tons of room,kids love it,wife loves it,The race mgb loves getting pulled to the track by it.
What more could you ask for?

Realy ohlord only 9 grand! How many miles? the car looks brand new! and i do agree that w210 are indeed a very good car. I have had good luck with my 2002 E320 Sport.

 

It's luck of the draw whether your next car will have electrical probs.I've just traded in my 2004 bmw530i to a Merc dealer and have bought a 2005 e320 cdi. The beamer had very good reviews with regard to its reliability in magzinesbut I've had endless problems with its traction control and computer, decided to get rid of 2 weeks ago as I couldn't even close the windows, fold the mirrows and the wipers couldn't be switched off.

Touch wood, the merc will be ok. If you get a from a dealer, at least you have another one year warranty. I wouldn't buy from ebay myself...good luck!
