W124 fuel problem
W124 1989 230E (102 engine) recently purchased. Works fine but found following anomaly.
Governor is mounted on the fuel distributor but connector with 2 pins and 2 wires not connected to the governor. Found about 7.6 VDC on these 2 pins/wires when not connected to governor. When this connector is connected to governor engine starts missing very badly.
Replaced governor 3 times with 3 used governors but problem remains. Then replaced computer MB # 0035454932 with a used computer, but problem remained same with all governors.
Next removed relay (with fuse on top) MB # 2015403845 and Siemens # 72UD402 adjacent to computer then found about 0.3 VDC on the 2 pins/wires when not connected to governor, then connector connected to the governor and found engine working normally (no missing). After 2 minutes removed the connector from governor and re-installed the relay.
Any advise will be appreciated. Test procedure of removed relay MB # 2015403845 is also required for troubleshooting. Thanks very much.
