Hi, i have seemingly moved across from the BMW forum to Merc (via Audi

I currently have a 2000 (W) e39 528i M sport, which is for sale.

I was looking at A8's but they are slightly too much, so have began to look at Merc vehicles.

The most modern looking for its age appears to be the E class, and i would like to maintain similar power as the BM, so a 270 CDI appears best bet.

I am viewing one saturday, just wondering what the most common things are. I know wear and tear affects all cars, but what known weak points does the E come with.

My price range is about £6-7k, hopefully avantgarde, but not fussed on what extras are available.
