The transmission on my 1998 E300TD with 175k on it is goneand I have the option of a free used transmissionwith 101k from Potomac with a 12 month guarantee vs paying about $1600 for a rebuilt. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The dealer is going to cover it but I decided to get the used one since it has a 1 year warranty which gives me a year to decide what I want to do with the car. Thanks.
