Hello, im new to the forums.

I have a 1990 300ce, and the trunk wont open. When i unlock the car, i hear the trunk unlock also, but when i press in the key hole on the trunkto open it, it wont open. The silver keyhole pushes in, but it doesnt release the trunk. I was wondering if maybe there is a release in side the car? maybe inside the trunk? If so, can the rear seats fold down?

Check and make sure that you did not accidentally turn the key to the furthest right hand position in the lock, which on most Mercedes will isolate the trunk from the central locking system.

the wired thing is, the key wont even turn in the trunk, it used to though. when i unlock thedoor locks i can hear the trunk lock openening. or at least i think its opening because i hear a click back there, but it doesnt open when i press in the trunk button

 

have someone press down hard on trunk.....while at same time, you manipulate and try metal key to manually open. sometimes, the lock-to-strike plate needs to be adjusted. pushing down may
help alleviate just enough pressure for the latch to release
