Default Transmission Slipping

I am having a problem with my transmission. It slips from first to second, but then it shifts fine through the other gears. I checked the transmission fluid last night and it didn't show anything on the dipstick, so I put some in it. It still slips. Is there a bigger problem? Any information is greatly appreciated.

If it was mine I would change the fluid and filter, making sure to drain the torque converter as well, and then see what happens. If it still slips than it's probably time to make an appt. with a reputable tranny shop or your local benz dealer. There's a small chance your modulator valve could be in need of adjustment as well.

if you have a 722.6 transmission then you should make sure your electrical plug on front is not leaking
