Hi - trying sort out my new (to me!) 2002 E220 ...

I've found the horn is mute and the steering-wheel mounted audio controls don't work (it's the stock head unit, and that works fine). Has anyone experienced this combination before?

I suspect the electrical connector in the steering wheel, but before I blow my head off with the airbag, can anyone point me to diagrams of this asssembly? All helpful suggestions welcome

PS: should I be concerned about the "airbag off" indicator being lit? (on the center console)
