Default steering ignition column 190e



Please help with a major issue i'm having.</P>


I need help with removing the ignition steering column lock. All nuts and bolts are removed, but it still doesn't want to come out.</P>


The key is stuck in the ignition and won't turn or release.</P>

Usually any tumbler has a release pin to be pushed in either on the top, bottom or held by a snap ring Once release, the tumbler should need to be rotated to a certain position before it can be pulled out. </P>


No luck still,,,,,check your local mercedes repair guy, they will tell you or the dealer can give you a picture of that assembly.</P>


Ususally if you need tumbler or new keys, they take you VIN to assure you get the correct key and that the vehicle is not stolen.......other than that...no worries</P>

i have a 190e and am trying to remove the ignition.the key will come out but im trying to get the collar off
