Default 300d Tumbler Ignition problem!PLEASE HELP

ok, i have a problem. I lost the oringinal key for the car that was used for more than 15 years thinking it was no problem since i had copy's, but the copy's were made when the car was new so when i tried to use them..no luck. Well it seemed the tumbler wore out so orderd a new one with a key. I know about the pins you use to remove the old one and install the new one but i have no key that turns the ignition to where i can do that. So my question is, how do i replace the tumbler without a key to use pins to remove, i have the no idea. Should i take it to the mercedes dealership or what, or maybe file down the copy's to maybe get a right fit for the worn tumbler? Someone please help with this massive problem.</P>

You can have a locksmith drill the tumbler out, but he'd probably damage the lock in the process. What year is your car -- parts might not be bad depending...</P><edited><editID>GermanStar</editID><editDate>37961.493287037</editDate></edited>
