SRS light on. Anyway I can scan it or trouble shoot it with out the dealership.

What year model again?No you can't scan it.A good indie shop mb with the proper star machine can,so call around.They will be much less than the dealer.Most of the E320 srs light issues are passenger seat occupancy seat sensor failures.Inspect the wires and diy r/r is on benzworld.org w210 diy section.You remove the seat,part is about 150 bucks,you replace it,etc.

Hi,
You need a shop with the correct type scanner.
Doesn't have to be MB SDS Star.
OBDII compliant scanners only read the eng/trans module.
Seat switch is high on the list of possible causes BUT ensure you follow normal safety procedures with SRS.

 

what other type of scanner

 

Basically EXPENSIVE. i.e. several thousand dollars.

Not sure of the various proprietary names. An example is Launch X431, Eurosoft etc.
