Spinning clock

Spinning clock
I have a 2012 E 350 coupe and my clock keeps spinning and will not reset. It spins than stops for a few seconds than spins again. It does this no matter if the car is on or not. My battery is fine and there is only one battery in the car. Would anyone know what this might be?
Thank you.
I see that many people have interest in this situation. I just bought this car used, and I will tell you that it was garaged and extremely clean. The dealer said he would fix it and of I trusted him and now she is going in the Mercedes Dealer next month. I can tell you that this is a complex problem. The clock is tied in with the navigation and the time is set from a satellite. I will send in the answer when the problem is taken care of, and I am sure the bill will be sufficient.
Thank you.

The answer to the spinning clock issue.
The first possibility is a computer up date, which did not work.
The second is from a weak battery, the clock references the voltage from the electrical system. If it senses a low out put the clock will spin wildly.
The final problem, which of course was mine, is a hardware problem. The hardware problem was inside the instrument cluster which is a $900.00 repair plus parts.
Sometimes a problem can look so simple, but in reality can be very deceiving and also very costly. This was very unexpected to hear only because the product is so well made and so well thought out.
Live and lean and buyer be wear.
