Default slugish in the morning

I've been noticing that my 98 E320 with 135K has been a bit slugish when cold in the mornings. I do let it warm up and it is garage kept every night, but it seems to be less responsive until it completely warms up. It hasnt done that before. Whats causing it?

Does the engine rev freely in neutral?Or is it sluggish when you try to move in gear?

Get then trans fluid and filter changed, you have a drain on your converter so it can all be drained.Diy on benzworld.org w210 section.Or have an indie do it,just make sure you use the mb fluid.
Also you can reset the trans with the reset procedure so it reverts to factory settings.

It wakes up some trans if they have adapted to sedate driving.
Get in and close your doors, turn the key to the on position(not running just the position that all the dash lights are on,but the engine is not running)step on the gas pedal all the way to the floor, hold it there for 30 seconds then let off the pedal, wait for 2 minutes and then turn the key to the off position. This resets the tcu back to the firm and higher rev factory setting on fly by wire cars.
some cars really respond
at 135tho miles you are about 70k over what is now being called for on the so called fluid for life trans 722.6

I tried the trans reset as you suggested...i think it made a real difference because it didnt hesitate at all this morning. I will also be doing the fluid change as you suggested...I just hope I can do it myself. thanks!
