I'm new here.
Sadly, the clear coat on my 1995 E300D is peeling off. I'm in the process of taking the car apart for stripping and a quality paint job. Despite my experience with W123s and Pagodas, the late W124 is a totally different animal with its plastic exterior panels.
Since I don't want to experiment and break something that is expensive to replace, I need a MANUAL that covers taking exterior panels and moldings off as well as inner door panels, door handles, etc.

WHICH manual do you suggest I buy for this purpose?

it is my opinion that the most detailed resource for model/year specific MB is the book
published by bentley publishing co. that's the factory shop manual.
