Hello, My 1993 M-B 300D 2.5 Turbo, has started shifting earlier than normal, it does not slip, just shifts early. Any idea what may be wrong? Modulator valve?

Thanks for the help, success.... The link that runs across the top of the engine was loose on one end. Evidently the plastic in the ball socket had cracked and fallen out allowing the joint to fall off. I will get a new one ordered tomorrow at the M-B dealer.
