Yesterday, the wrench symbol appeared together with a message SERVICE A IN 6900 MILES, but right now, the symbol appeared again... SERVICE A IN 29 DAYS???

How is this possible? I just had my Service A last November, Do I really need to do my Service A again?

 

i never heard such case before.

just ignore it and wait for another 5k km.

there must be a bug or virus in the assyst computer

 

I agree with Sleepwalker. See what happens when it next displays info.
The ASSYST system defines when the next service is required based on a number of inputs. The computer then decides whether the next service is going to be Miles or Days based.

If you use the car every day and cover lets say 15000 miles a year you next service will be based on mileage. e.g. Engine oil will need changing because it will have deteriorated due to continued use.

If however you only do say 5000 miles a year the next serevice will be based on time.

I do not have information on the exact algorythm used.
