Default self leveling problem

Hi hope some one can help, I have a e200 124 estate with bouncy ride, just pssed last mot where tester said I need new shocks, but other people have said it could be the speres, not being an expert I would like to no how I can tell what is causing this problem, are there any other things that can cause a bouncy ride, thanks Steve

My suggestion would be exact same. As long as your hydraulic cylinders (shocks) are not leaking oil, they are good. I have same system in my W126 and I had to replace accumulator reservoirs.
