You checked the box and the sw/led is OK?
What does that mean?
Does the 16 connector box HAVE a sw/led at pins 2 and 4 ?????
That is the question.
Then I can tell you how tro go get the stored fault codes.

Thank You!

Turn key ON to run position
Press sw and hold for 2-3 secs
Release sw..led will respond with flashes..count them and repeat until no more flash codes and report findings

OK

In pin # 2 position.. is there a little button there ?
If so, that is what sw means . it is a push button switch
In pin 4 , do you see a little led lamp?
That is what led means.

You push the sw and the led should light up
Do you have these features????
If you do, you can get codes
BUT , some models of the same year do NOT have this feature ..that is what you have to tell me before I send you on a wild goose chase...

OK
You have the Federal , non emissions OBD diagnostics system
This system does not use a Check Engine light on the dash [ whick is why yours does not come on]
You can still get diagnostic fault codes from your chassis by building a simple $5 retrieve led/sw tool.
Here is one I make up for this purpose
If you are handy, make one and I will tell you how to get any stored fault codes from the 16 pin diagnostic access box.
