Default Replacing valve seals

How hard is replacing the valve seals on the 97 e320? I dont have a manual (then again, who does besides a mercedes shop), but am fairly handy with a wrench. Any help or assistance that you could provide would be very appreciated. Thanks

Default RE: Replacing valve seals

it's a time consuming job because you need to remove the cylinder head... and two of them. you will need a special MB sealant, cylinder head gasket set, and your new valve seals.
please pay attention to the position of balancing shaft. the alignment guide can be seen through the camshaft gear opening on the left bank cylinder head. you will see the slot that aligns it. the chain got 4 copper colored link which all goes to the timing mark of each gears. you can't miss the timing.
doing it is fun because it's easy...so enjoy!
