Default Removing Head Unit from 92 E300

Hello there.

I have a 92 E300. I'd like to remove my stock head unit and replace it with a JVC head unit but I cant figure out how to remove the stock head unit. Does anyone know the best way to remove the stock headunit in the E300s?

Thanks.

To remove the radio buy a pair of iso radio removal keys at a local autopart store. Insert these into the removal slots on the sides of the head unit and carefully pull on the unit. In theory they should slide out but they never do, so aply considerable force! Once removed new jvc units come with their own cage so remove the old one and replace with the new one. To remove the rear badge carefully pry it off as it is only glued on.

p.s i fitted a jvc cd player to my merc and its great qaulity and never seems to skip! Also buy a radio wireing harness adoptor (autoleads w124 series) as this will save you clipping wires!
