Reinstalling fuel pressure reg hose suggestions???

Default Reinstalling fuel pressure reg hose suggestions???
Not sure how to get this vacuum hose back into this assembly since the hose is quite larger than the hole in the vacuum end of the FPR. Suggestions anyone?

Added a couple of pics of rubber piece i need to put into the fuel pressure regulator. Whats the purpose of this vacuum line?
