Default Pulling to the right

I do not understand it. This was alleged to be the best made and longest lasting automobile made. Words can not convey my disgust with the product. I have not experienced all the problems that others have and I admit it has not been a "happy" experience with this car. The auto has been in the shop for two prolonged visits for the pulling problems. It has less than 9000 miles on it and now they have traced the "problem " to the tires! They are going to replace them with Michelin Pilot Sports, however they are on back order. The OE Continentals "look" fine but what do I know.

The car is a E-500 sport.

Is there any validity in what I am being told?

I think it is B.S., and why is Michelin the only tire that they are offering.

I have not enjoyed the driving experience and would rather drive my wife's Town and Country. I am sure this is not the perception M.B. wished me to develop.

HI!

To tell you the truth ....you will see it yourself....the problem is not tires...they are just liars and BS ..because untill now they dont have anything else to say.The problem most likely in the steering arms or the ball joint (80%)..all the E new model 2003 and 2004 have this problem

Tthe company does not wanna to recall it until they find exactly what is the real problem...recall for MB is a such embarassing desicion. They know it ,it will hit them finacially so hard........they will treat it case by case, try to fix or convience the customer that this is already has been fixed.......couple years later they will do a recall for older MB series E.....the same thing had happened with BMW 1997 engines....they recalled them in year 2000.

Here is a piece of advice......NEVER EVER BUY the first new model of any brand...wait couple uears later and buy......go buy a 2002 E model ....is all loaded upgraded and never will find any problem....IF you look back at the same mode which came in 1996....thefirst edition of E class...year 1996 and 1997 have problems, hence dissapeared in 1998 n up.

Good Luck

Default RE: Pulling to the right

Hi there... I have a 2000 E430. From the time I drove it off the showroom floor I had the same pulling problems. I finally took it to a dealership out of state and my service advisor knew exactly what it was. I was getting less than 10K miles out of a set of tires thinking it was the tires.... come to find out, I need my castor and camber bolt replaced. So you may want to look into that if you are still having problems. I remember picking my car up from the dealership and getting on the highway and to the right it would pull.... I got so frustrated I just wanted to take it back to the dealership!!! Check into that and see if that is the problem... GOOD LUCK... for I have felt you pain!
