Default oil change on my 06 E320

Hey everyone.. Im a newbie here and im about to do my first oil change on my 06 E320.. I called the dealership and they quoted me a price of 175 for just an oil change.. I was shocked.. What do they actually do over there that make it cost so much for an oil change?

So i figured id do it.. i mean theres no special way of doing it.. just draining the drain plug, change the oil filter and put new mobil 1 oil it correct? Wut grade of Mobil 1 oil should i get?

Also one last thing.. where is the dip stick?!?! i cant seem to find where the oil dip stick is

Thanks for your help guys!

Francis

read the owner's manual (!) it will give MB compliant oil type/grade.

Mobile 1 (MB approved) oil is approx $6 liter and you'll need 8

MB oil filter is approx $15

the rest is your time underneath the car....which I prefer vs buying another gadget. draining doesn't really take up that much more time if you have floor jack.

Find a reliable shop that knows about Mercedes. Should be a lot less than what dealer quoted you.

you may also inquire from the dealer about the effect of warranty procedures and first oil change.

first oil change must be done on the dealer for the record purpose. you may do the rest of oil change after that.

Where is the dip stick?!?!
there is no dipstick since the oil level is done from instrument cluster.

8 liters of oil is all that it takes.

What do they actually do over there that make it cost so much for an oil change
they will register your car on their database, check for service measures, use Star Diagnosis to check the electronics, and reset the service mileage.

There is NO dipstick on your car.
Get back to you user's manual. The procedure to check the engine oil level is described.
