Noisy W124 E320 Estate diff

Noisy W124 E320 Estate diff
hi there,
My 93 E320 W124 Estate(186000km) has picked up a bit of a bearing noise in the diff, is there anyway to tell if this a Limited slip, and is there an additive I could put in to quieten it regardless ?
I also have an 88 300TE with 312000km, and diff is quiet...
